2020 International Day of Women and Girls in Science

According to the UN, 30 percent of researchers worldwide are women, and only 35 percent of all students enrolled in STEM-related fields of study are women 🔬

Women and girls represent half of the world’s population and, therefore, also half of its potential. Gender equality, besides being a fundamental human right, is essential to achieve peaceful societies, with full human potential and sustainable development 🌏

Today we acknowledge ‘International Day of Women and Girls in Science’ and celebrate the positive contribution women and girls make every day in STEM fields 👏
