Central Australian Women’s Legal Service (CAWLS) delivers a holistic, culturally safe, trauma informed legal service for women. Our team can help with information about legal issues, legal advice and representation, referral to support services, community legal education and law reform advocacy.


We provide free legal advice for all women in Central Australia & the Barkly Region



Our services are available to all persons who identify as women, non-binary and gender diverse who have been adversely impacted by patriarchal structures and practices

Special concern is extended to women who are affected by domestic violence, living in remote communities or unable to afford access to other legal services.
