The CAWLS Support Team were thrilled to attend the ‘Young Australian of the Year Lunch’ to hear the inspiring & commendable work of 2021 Young Australian of the Year, Isobel Marshall, and her business co-founder, Eloise Hall.
At just 18 years of age, Isobel & Eloise had created ‘TABOO’ – a social enterprise venture to help women around the world, by breaking down stigma around menstruation and providing greater access to hygiene products. TABOO sells high quality, ethically sourced, organic cotton pads and tampons to an Australian market, with 100 per cent of net profits going to One Girls – a charity providing education programs for girls and women in Sierra Leone and Uganda 🤍
The team at CAWLS can verify that there is still a strong stigma surrounding periods and sadly, interact with many women on a weekly basis who have no access to sanitary items 😔

Thank you to the Australia Day Council of the Northern Territory for hosting this important event 👏
