Senator the Hon Anne Ruston visits CAWLS

The Central Australian Women’s Legal Service (CAWLS) and the Katherine Women’s Legal Service (KWILS) were delighted to host Senator Anne Ruston, Minister for Women’s Safety, at CAWLS’ Alice Springs office this week.

🗣️ Our team briefed the Minister on the particular challenges facing women and children in Central Australia, the Barkly and Katherine Big Rivers Region.

We were grateful for the opportunity to discuss the Federal Government’s commitment of $129 million for women’s legal services and the difference that funding will make to our services over the next four years ⚖️
