During the COVID19 Pandemic, Monash University surveyed 166 Family Violence Victim Support Practitioners, over a four week period, to ascertain the impacts the virus was having in our community.
Sadly, 60% of practitioners explained they saw an increase in the frequency of violence against women…
🗣 Dr Kate Fitz-Gibbon stated, “the research highlights the importance of ensuring that all services supporting women experiencing family violence are adequately resourced and funded as we move into the next phases of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
