Inaugural National Family Violence Symposium

📍 Last week, the Central Australian Women’s Legal Service attended the inaugural ‘National Family Violence Symposium’, hosted by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia ⚖️

💬 The Symposium brought together 80+ participants to discuss ways the Court can better meet the needs of court users experiencing or at risk of family violence.

🗣️ With the opportunity to hear from and speak with the Attorney General, the Honourable Mark Dreyfus KC MP, along with His Honour, the Honourable Chief Justice William Alstergren AO, CAWLS joined a number of sister services from Women’s Legal Services Australia to provide feedback about our clients’ experiences.
