As the debate over the best way to address coercive control gains momentum across Australia, this interactive workshop provides an opportunity to revisit understandings of family and domestic violence and control tactics.
Participants will:
βοΈ strengthen skills in identifying coercive control and patterns of abuse;
βοΈ gain greater insight into managing risk and promoting safety;
βοΈ explore the concept of professional collusion;
βοΈ enhance understandings of current legal responses to coercive control; and
βοΈ canvass the current debate as to whether coercive control should be criminalised.
