Federal funding for action against DFSV | #16DaysofActivism

The Northern Territory has some of the highest rates of domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) both in Australia and in the world… yet the NT only receives 1.8% of federal funding for action against DFSV ⚠️

The current model of federal funding for the DFSV sector in Australia is based on population size, instead of need 😓

Without needs-based funding, the inequalities that currently exist between regional and remote places and urban centres will be exacerbated.

📢 We ask for safety and freedom from violence by asking the government to commit to needs-based funding to address DFSV in the Territory ✊
