‘Devastating’ US Supreme Court Decision

The decision to wind back abortion rights in the US is “a setback for women and their right to control their own bodies and their lives” Prime Minister Albanese has said 😔

⚖️ The US Supreme Court last week overturned a previous ruling that guaranteed a constitutional right to abortion, that had been in place for almost 50 years.

The decision has effectively eroded the right of American women to choose and decide what is best for their bodies and lives 🧍‍♀️🚫

As the fallout from this decision is being digested globally, with many women in America now fearing criminalisation for seeking a reproductive right – the “devastating” decision also reinforced, according to the Australian federal minster for women, Katy Gallagher “ to remain vigilant because hard-fought-for wins before our parliaments can be taken away easily” 😒
