📰 This week, the NT News reported on a video, currently circulating, of a child being put into the back of a paddywagon by Police in the NT 🚨
The report stated that three staff members from Territory Families, seen in the footage, appear to watch the Police action unfold.
The footage was described as ‘distressing’ by Chief Minster Natasha Fyles. The NT News reported that Senator Malarndirri McCarthy – Northern Territory said of the footage, “(t)hat’s certainly not what I would want to see, and I’d certainly like to look into what the issues are around that”.
🗣Chief Minister Natasha Fyles stated she supported Territory Families and Police and noted that “these cases are complex”.
