CAWLS DFV Training & Visit to Ti Tree | July 2022

📍 This week, CAWLS staff Machiko, Jazz & student intern Naya, visited Ti Tree – a remote indigenous community, 194 km north of Alice Springs 🚙💨

🗣️ Presenting a training session alongside the Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia outreach team, our staff discussed how community staff can 👇
▶️ identify family violence
▶️ legal frameworks for DFV
▶️ the importance of safety planning and;
▶️ the harm of misidentifying women as perpetrators
