CAWLS staff, Karina Kenny & Denelle Abbott, joined Rayleen Brown from Karen Sheldon Training at the recent CarePlays VR Graduation Ceremony π
π§βπ CarePlays VR is a 4-week Indigenous human services & work-ready course which provides attendees with entry-level skills for jobs that provide care and support for people in our community.
This fun course, facilitated by Karen Sheldon Training, allows students to experience the world of caring work as a virtual reality (VR). The course includes a work placement so students get first-hand experience in a job which matches their skills and interests β
Denelle graduated from a CarePlays VR course in 2020 and after completing the course chose CAWLS for her 2 week work placement. Denelle has since continued with CAWLS in paid employment and is a great asset to the CAWLS team π
