Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

CAWLS is closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

A response plan is in place and is being updated as new information comes through.

It is currently business as usual across our service. Clients are assured scheduled appointments will go ahead at this stage. You will be informed of any changes via email or phone.

Anyone with an appointment who has recently returned from overseas or is feeling unwell, should not attend the office in person and call to reschedule or confirm their appointment to take place via phone on (08) 8952 4055.

Our priority is the health and safety of our team & clients, while continuing to provide high quality services to our clients as far as practicable

We provide free legal advice for all women in Central Australia & the Barkly Region


Central Australian Women’s Legal Service (CAWLS) delivers a holistic, culturally safe, trauma informed legal service for women. Our team can help with information about legal issues, legal advice and representation, referral to support services, community legal education and law reform advocacy.

Special concern is extended to women who are affected by domestic violence, living in remote communities or unable to afford access to other legal services.
