Today, CAWLS join our global community in marking the UN’s International Day of Non-Violence – a day dedicated to promoting peace, tolerance, and the rejection of all forms of violence.

At CAWLS, we see firsthand the profound impact that domestic, family, and sexual violence can have on women and families across Central Australia.

Every day, we stand beside women facing these challenges, offering trauma-informed services that provide not only legal assistance but also crucial support, safety, and hope for a future free from violence.

This day, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of non-violence, reminds us that real change starts with rejecting violence in all its forms and standing united to protect the most vulnerable.
