📍 In early May, CAWLS attended the ‘Technology for Social Justice’ Conference in Melbourne. The conference, celebrating its 20th year, aims to empower, transform and inspire Australia’s not-for-profit leaders, by sharing new digital insights & strategies to increase organisational impact, whilst also driving positive social change ✊📡
💬 Over two-days, participants were immersed in engaging & thought provoking keynote presentations and panel discussions from inspiring industry leaders and strong sector voices on the latest technological threats, opportunities and issues facing our sector. There was a strong focus on the future of AI and how we can work to integrate this into our organisations, as we move towards a new digital frontier 🤖💻
👥 The conference concluded with highly practical masterclasses on our themes including smarter fundraising, IT strategy, cyber security and the use of data for impact 🔗
👋 With so many people to meet and learn with/from, CAWLS were thrilled to meet up with Erin from Darwin Community Legal Service and Kim from Justice Connect, to share thoughts on how the lessons taught at the conference, can be implemented in our respective Community Legal Centres across the country.
