On Wednesday, as part of the ‘16 Days of Activism Against Gendered Violence’ Campaign, CAWLS Lawyer Sarah Edwards, hosted an episode of ‘Sisters in Law’.
Sarah reminded listeners of the importance of needs- based funding and drew attention to the ongoing work of the community to eliminate violence against women
Sarah was also joined by Jo-Anne Driessens and Donna Robinson from the “Artists in the Black” team at the Arts Law Centre of Australia. Jo-Anne and Donna discussed the importance of their work with artists and art centres around Australia, and particularly highlighted key areas of law reform that they are currently working on.
