Because…
… violence against women & their children costs Australia $22 billion annually
… the rate of sexual assault in the NT is 50% higher than the national rate
… in the NT, there has been a 37% increase in female prisoners over the last 12 months
… more women – than men – lost their jobs as part of the COVID-19 recession
… victim survivors of DFV are 10 x time more likely to experience other legal problems

Surely just ONE of the above is reason enough?!

The fight for women’s equity & equality before the law isn’t just run over a 6 week period… it is a daily fight… and the Northern Territory’s three women’s legal services will continue to keep that fight going, each & every day
