Vacancy : Financial CounsellorDomestic and Family Violence

CAWLS is recruiting for a Financial Counsellor (Domestic and Family Violence) to provide financial counselling information, advice and assistance to CAWLS clients. The successful applicant will be responsible in referring clients to other relevant services and community resources, based on a sound knowledge of and relationships with other service providers and governments.

Vacancy : Women’s Safety & Wellbeing Court Practitioner

CAWLS is recruiting for a Women’s Safety & Wellbeing Court Practitioner to enhance the safety of women and children who attend at Court experiencing domestic and family violence, and hold perpetrators of DFV accountable for their actions. The role of the Women’s Safety & Wellbeing Court Practitioner is integral to the courts’ response to domestic and family violence (DFV).  The Practitioner will work as part of a team within the specialist domestic violence court in Alice Springs whilst establishing and maintaining relationships with community agencies and support services to facilitate effective referrals, ensuring the safety of domestic and family violence applicants. The successful applicant will also provide non-legal information and support at the court premises to persons who have experienced domestic and family violence, assess their immediate safety risks, develop safety plans, and refer to appropriate agencies within the community for ongoing support, counselling and longer-term safety planning.
